Hi,

Great job on the music. Who gets annoyed by chiptunes? If you worry that players are going to be bothered by the music, 1) Reconsider the music you have in the game because you obviously don't think it's ambient enough and 2) Add volume controls.

I'm glad you're trying to do more with less when it comes to the level design.

It's a lot of work and the logic can get kind of funky, but you really need to work on more fluid controls. The buttons aren't a problem, but user input in games should typically "flow" smoothly. This demo feels like it was "coded" in Stencyl...

Overall, really interesting. It has heart but lacks polish.

I thought the game was great. Not perfect. The levels are fun but I feel like a lot more exploration could have been done in terms of level design and bullet patterns. I didn't "learn" as much from this game as I would have liked.

Plenty of polish. No heart.

Really interesting idea, but it's missing features such as creating your own snippets so that we can bundle/share entire words or phrases rather than having to do so manually/redundantly.

I think there's more of a problem than the fact that you used AS2 :(

A sniper game that's finally good for kids' minds?

I mean, aside from the whole idea of using a gun to perform these particular tasks...

I like the game and feel that its engine and polish is being underappreciated. The small visual subtleties and engine configuration makes it a fair challenge. The deterministic nature of the engine also positively contributed to my experience. Given the precise timing of the engine, I almost wondered whether our military should be using programs like this to improve the responsiveness and awareness of its soldiers... I definitely felt like I learned a lot from playing.

However, I also wonder whether the supposed "lag" on some levels is due to my timing being off, or if Flash simply isn't very capable of handling a game with such precise timing requirements.

Anyways, I'm going to spend a few days and think about whether I want to spend my time opening all 40 chests, or if I'm merely satisfied with having "beaten" the game.

the future. I know you will not believe me now, but I have gone back in time to tell you that this is the most popular game of

In all honesty, I hate giving preliminary reviews, but I'll admit that I wasn't able to finish this game due to time constraints.

I think it's great fun. A bit slow-paced, but once it got into the Zelda-esque puzzles I knew I was in for some serious time. Were you also influence by Earthbound and Pokemon? The coloring of the artwork and the design of the landscapes suggests so to me.

Kcori responds:

I did play Earthbound recently, but I wasn't thinking about it at all when doing the art. It's VERY possible I was subconsciously influenced by it though.

This game made my heart feel like better on the inside.

The concept is really neat, however, the game itself is very boring and slow-paced. The frame rate is embarrassing and the controls are awkward and slow to respond.

I didn't find that the game's concept was implemented well enough to make up for otherwise poor design decisions.
