I feel like an alternative title for this game would be "Perceiving Patterns". It's amazing how long the ultimately simple patterns took me to understand and master.

Beautiful game. Great, chiptuney, but also dark soundtrack. Kind of like the stuff I've heard from Cyriak. (Look him up on Youtube.)

We need more stuff like this. Shame you're not being well-received. I went through the same thing with my game, but I still love it! And this one, too! :)

Thanks! I'm not really taking negative responses too close. This game wasn't supposed to make everybody happy so of course there are people that don't like it.

Oh, how I love your games, ConnorUllmann.

The fact that you went from platformers to a strategic shooter is even more amazing.

Ah, yes! If I travel a galaxy's length from the end of a galaxy (having enough fuel after beating the last boss in a galaxy), I can trigger another boss battle!

Too bad no ship is actually at the end of the galaxy I was on when I tried this, though :)

That would have won you an 11/5 stars.

Overall, I thought it was a great game. Not very "deep", but addicting. Not in a bad way. It's relaxing. It's pretty clear that the player's expectations shouldn't be too high, which means that the player can choose to relax rather than stress over trying every possibility the game has to offer, hoping for some kind of intended result.

Nope, pretty straight-forward.

I can't help but feel that games such as this are made almost purely for commercial purposes. I would have spent less time making puzzles and more time making the game fun.

LittleBigPlanet comes to mind.

It's all about paper and sticking stuff on other stuff. I don't think anyone complains about that.

This, on the other hand.... I can't help but wonder if games like these are the equivalent of sitting our kids in front of a TV screen all day.

Great game, and a fine example of why I've chosen the lifestyle I have, as opposed to the one presented in this game.

Great, minimalistic and skillful. Subtlely skillful, however. I'm not sure most people would understand the relationship between radius, revolution rate, and how that corresponds to dodging bullets right away.

I'm not going to say this is the best game ever, but I had a similar idea a few years ago and probably would have implemented it the same way if I could :)

Did you even test this? I can't hit the "down" arrow key in my browser without scrolling the window.

Aside from the fact that this would be amazing as an actual game, it sucks.

I feel like you guys did a good job. Polishing up your work and making it a really enjoyable experience as well as a deep and meaningful one really matters, though.

That's where it's lacking, IMO.

Any chance you can hook an audible text reader into this wonderful program?
